Wouldn’t it be great if instead of spending the first half of college missing all the memos, struggling to keep grades up, and bumbling through a social life, you could flip through a book and know how to handle all of it immediately?

Look no further: media source Her Campus is coming out with a handbook called The Her Campus Guide to College Life: How to Manage Relationships, Stay Safe and Healthy, Handle Stress, and Have the Best Years of Your Life on April 4. Written by Harvard graduates Stephanie Kaplan Lewis ’10, Annie Chandler Wang ’11, and Windsor Hanger Western ’10, this book is available for order through Amazon for $15.99.

According to the Amazon page for Her Campus, the guide will teach readers about both the good and the bad about college: “Get ready for the best years of your life! Written by the experts behind Her Campus, this college guide is bursting with insider tips to help you navigate classes, relationships, and all your extracurriculars–including parties and Greek life… You’ll also get the lowdown on campus safety so you can enjoy all that college has to offer while avoiding the unfortunate scary parts that sometimes come with it.”

Lewis, Wang, and Western launched Her Campus on September 16, 2009, when they realized they needed a source of articles written by college women for college women. With the slogan “A Collegiette’s Guide to Life”, Her Campus features content on Style, Beauty, Health, Love, Life, and Career, as well as student-written information on more than 250 colleges.

Her Campus defines a “collegiette” as “a college woman who is on top of her game – strategically career-minded, distinctly fashionable, socially connected, academically driven, and smartly health-conscious, who endeavors to get the most out of her college experience on every level,” according to their website.

Her Campus has grown since to become the number one global community for college women, with more than 5000 contributing writers online. Forbes listed Her Campus in its The 100 Best Websites for Women, 2013 article. Inc Magazine also named Lewis, Wang, and Western in their 30 Under 30 Coolest Young Entrepreneurs in 2010.

This new manual will help “collegiettes” across the country fully enjoy college life. “Complete with fun checklists and worksheets to help you carry out Her Campus’ essential advice, The Her Campus Guide to College Life shows you how to make the most out of your experience–in and outside the classroom,” says the Amazon page for Her Campus.
