From May 19-21, Wellesley will hold its 19th annual Wellesley’s Wonderful Weekend, highlighted by the pancake breakfast at a new location on May 20, the 49th annual veterans’ parade on May 21, and a fireworks display that night.
The theme of this year’s Veterans’ Parade is Wellesley’s famous faces, and local businesses, organizations, town departments, and schools will return with their creative floats. The Wellesley Celebrations Committee, the volunteer group that organizes parade and other weekend festivities, will award the best floats that day.
Before the fireworks there will be a picnic in Hunnewell Park, and performances by The Reminisants and the Wellesley Jazz Combo.
