300 members of the junior class experienced a night of food, dancing and fun at their annual Boat Cruise, May 13th.
Class members excitement for the event showcased the class’s unity.

“I’ve seen our class grow so much since freshman year and I can say with certainty that we’ve all gotten a lot closer and a lot more comfortable with each other and ourselves,” said junior class President Tony Shu ’17. “I’ve never seen our class bond like they did at boat cruise.”

“It was incredible to see everyone in our class together dancing and just forgetting our worries of junior year,” said class treasurer Savitri Fouda ’17. “The excitement inside the boat made me completely forget that it was raining outside.”

Despite rain, juniors still enjoyed their time on the cruise inside the boat and on the outer deck.

“While I was very nervous about the weather, I think the event ran smoothly,” said Amy Dore ’17. “It did get hot at times inside the boat but I was having so much fun that I wasn’t bothered by it.”

As for the future, class officers look forward to bringing the energy and unity of the class to senior year.

“It was a great opportunity for the class to unite and I’m so glad we’ll be able to walk into senior year having come together in this way,” said Shu.

The event took place from 5:30-11:30 on the Odyssey Cruise ship in the Boston Harbor.
