Track, Lacrosse and Sailing Updates

The regular season for the girls track team ended with a perfect record of 5-0. On Saturday, the runners had qualifying times will compete in the Division 2 Meet. Junior Karla Ganley will compete in the 4×400 relay with her team. She said, “my biggest goal is in the 4×400 relay and to go under 4 minutes. We’ve already broken the school record, so now we are trying to get it under 4 minutes.”

Boys lacrosse finished their season undefeated with a record of 16-0, but are still for the state championship title. “An undefeated season is a great accomplishment, but the playoffs are what count and our goal is a state championship,” said Peter Crane ‘12. Fellow teammates Connor Darcey echoed this sentiment, “I think the season turned out the way that we all wanted to which was win the Baystate and go undefeated, but we still have one more main goal and that is to win the state championship in June.”

The sailing team finished their season undefeated, which tied them in first place in Division B. They will compete on Thursday and Friday at States against other sailing teams throughout Massachusetts. On Monday and Tuesday, the sailing team competed in the Massachusetts Bay League Championships and won third place in the 420 races.
